Named after the Madrona Tree that is common to where we live, Gig Harbor, WA. Gig Harbor is a small community with access to Puget Sound, many lakes, and everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Our dogs are a blend of Hunting and Conformation lines to produce beautiful and functional dogs. The Chesapeake is a multipurpose dog, capable of Obedience, Agility, Tracking, and Therapy in addition to there reputation as exceptional Hunting dogs. Looks and drive make an exceptional Chessie, and an exceptional Family companion.

March 2025 Lilah (GCH Madrona's Early Morning Rain At Delilah's Delight') Best of Breed at the Peninsula Dog Fanciers Show March 22nd/23rd. She earned 10 GCH points and is almost to her Bronze. She earned 24 breed points too. Crossing fingers she is pregnant, ultrasound to confirm April 8th!

| Please be extremely
careful when buying a Chesapeake, there are breeders that
are NOT doing health clearances.
Chesapeakes have several debilitating genetic conditions that can be tested for, ask to see the test results, do not take anyone's word for it. Ask for PRA, DM, EIC DNA test results at minimum! Just because it sounds good, doesn't mean it is legit. Ask to see AKC paperwork and OFA hips/ elbows/ eye results also. Be an educated buyer or you may regret it years down the road when your cute puppy comes down with an awful disease that could have been prevented! I explain health clearances under the Puppy Info page. I am happy to refer you to a quality breeder that does health clearances. |
